  • 2 tablespoons olive oil keeps shrimp juicy
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder adds smoky heat
  • 1 teaspoon cumin for warm, earthy spice
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder elevates taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
For the Guacamole
  • 2 ripe avocados creamy foundation
  • lime juice to taste for freshness
For Assembly
  • 8 corn tostadas for a crunchy base
  • 1 cup pico de gallo adds flavor and texture
  • fresh cilantro for garnish

Method
 

Shrimp Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Toss to coat and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, aiming for about 400°F (200°C).
  3. Thread marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving space between pieces.
  4. Place skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and opaque.
Guacamole Preparation
  1. Mash the avocados in a bowl until creamy, adding lime juice to taste and a pinch of salt.
Assembly
  1. Spread guacamole over each tostada.
  2. Top with grilled shrimp and spoon pico de gallo over the shrimp.
  3. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
