  3. Add eggs, milk, neutral oil, vanilla, and mashed blackberries to the dry mixture and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour in warm water and stir carefully until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. To make the frosting, combine butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, blackberry puree, and vanilla, and beat until fluffy.
