Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if baking the crust. Combine crushed Oreo cookies with melted unsalted butter, press into a springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Whip heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
- Pour the filling over the crust and smooth out the top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- Chill for at least 4 hours. Once set, remove the cheesecake, add crushed Oreos and optionally whipped cream for garnish.
- Slice and serve chilled, enjoying the delightful combination of flavors and textures.
