Step-by-Step Instructions for Golden Greek Honey Pie
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with melted butter or non-stick spray.
- Carefully lay one sheet of phyllo dough in the greased dish. Brush it liberally with melted butter, then repeat this process with six additional sheets.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the semolina flour, eggs, granulated sugar, whole milk, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Carefully pour the filling over the prepared phyllo base. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
- Take the last sheet of phyllo and cover the filling, brushing melted butter between each layer. Lightly score the top with a knife.
- Place the assembled pie in the oven and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Warm some honey slightly and drizzle it over the top of the pie.
