- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time and mix well, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until no flour pockets remain.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the dough, spreading evenly.
- Drop spoonfuls of remaining dough on top, spreading to cover.
