Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Wash the 4 large potatoes under cool water and slice them thinly to about ⅛ inch thickness.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish lightly with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of your greased baking dish, overlapping slightly.
  4. In a bowl, combine 2 cups of heavy cream with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the creamy garlic mixture over the first layer of potatoes for even coverage.
  6. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the creamy potatoes evenly.
