Cooking Steps
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the seasoned chicken breasts for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the sliced cremini mushrooms in the same skillet for 6–8 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in Dijon mustard and chicken broth, simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir, simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Gradually stir in grated Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return seared chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
