Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by leaving your ½ cup of salted butter out at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with the mashed roasted garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon each of chopped fresh thyme and rosemary, along with ¼ teaspoon of black pepper.
- Once combined, give your compound butter a taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
- Spoon the butter mixture onto a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap, roll it into a log shape, and securely twist the ends.
- Place your wrapped butter log in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.
- Once chilled, unwrap the butter log and slice it into 8 even pats.
- Grill or cook your favorite steak to your desired doneness, then place a pat of the compound butter on top.
- Serve your steak topped with the melted compound butter for enhanced flavor.
