- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold the thawed sheet of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and slice it into 2.5 to 3-inch squares.
- Score a smaller square about half an inch inside each puff pastry square and prick the center with a fork.
- Center a cube of creamy Brie cheese in the middle of each scored square and add about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
- Sprinkle with ground black pepper or cinnamon if desired.
- Brush the edges of each pastry square with beaten egg.
- Bake for 14–18 minutes, watching closely until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 3–5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and drizzle with honey or maple syrup before serving.
