Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the thawed sheet of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and slice it into 2.5 to 3-inch squares.
  3. Score a smaller square about half an inch inside each puff pastry square and prick the center with a fork.
  4. Center a cube of creamy Brie cheese in the middle of each scored square and add about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  5. Sprinkle with ground black pepper or cinnamon if desired.
  6. Brush the edges of each pastry square with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 14–18 minutes, watching closely until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 3–5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and drizzle with honey or maple syrup before serving.
