Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 1 pound of ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and ¼ cup water, and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Spread 3 cups of crushed tortilla chips in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  4. Evenly layer 2 cups of refried beans over the tortilla chips.
  5. Pour the seasoned beef mixture over the refried beans.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese evenly over the beef.
