Preparation
- Preheat your grill pan or outdoor grill over high heat for about 5 minutes.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine dairy-free sour cream, lime juice, lime zest, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, drizzle with olive oil, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Season the skirt steak with salt and cook on the grill or skillet for 3–4 minutes on each side.
- Slice jicama into thin rounds and lightly steam or microwave for 20 seconds.
- Layer jicama slices with lime crema, steak, cherry tomatoes, sweet onion, and cilantro.
- Serve immediately with lime wedges.
